Versace Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Gianni Versace S.r.l. usually referred to simply as Versace, is an Italian luxury fashion company and trade name founded by Gianni Versace in 1978. The main collection of the brand is Versace, which produces upmarket Italian-made ready-to-wear and leather accessories. The Versace logo is the head of Medusa, a Greek mythological figure. The logo came from the floor of ruins in the area of Reggio Calabria that the Versace siblings played in as children. Gianni Versace chose Medusa as the logo because she made people fall in love with her and they had no way back. He hoped his company would have the same effect on people and on those who wore his clothes and shoes.

An angry customer shared his/her opinion about Versace in SiteJabber in April 2020:

“Very poor customer service and misleading information. Not recommend their website for online shopping, it is written takes 3-4 working days for delivery, I bought a birthday gift, and now the delivery company expected to deliver in 10 days. I contacted them with very poor customer service. Not happy."

Former Employee - Sales Associate says

"Abusive leadership that started a lot of problems between sales associates. Leadership was never around or on the floor. Acted like we were a totally different store when any corporate presence came to town when in reality that was not the case"

Former Employee - Retail Sales Associate says

"Versace is completely unstructured from the corporate offices down to the retail stores. As a sales associate, you are expected to accommodate business needs for the entire company as opposed to your individual sales goal. New Corporate management has little experience in fashion RTW buying since they are all from Jimmy Choo. The company is run like a mom and pop shop, so operations and communications are lacking since they currently use outdated systems to run the company. This is a sink or swim company where little to no direction is every given and company morale is dictated by the corporate politics of upper management."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"-Horribly structured/poor corporate culture. -Direct Line Manager did not encourage a sense of unity within the Buying Department. -Direct colleagues were not personable or offer help when workload became overwhelming."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"The company sets very negative examples. It begins with Management, they go by- " work smart not harder" ,while promotes ongoing conflicts and aggressive company culture. They manipulate others for them own success. HR and Management- gossips, laziness and double standards."

Former Employee - Buyer says

"Demoralizing, unorganized managers were recently hired. They frequently discredited the brand and all the hard work of their employees. They were uninterested in anyone currently working for the company and always talked down to myself and my coworkers in an extremely inappropriate manner."

Former Employee - Management says

"Lack of communication, lack of knowledge of the business, company, direction from the NEW MANAGEMENT. Racist, prejudice and CRUEL."

"Tremendous turnover in personnel due to the lack of advancement and lack of monetary compensation for a job well done. Current management team lack luster and not honest with the staff. Prefer drones and not fast thinking.Trends are going backwards here instead of forward."

says

"Very strange dynamics especially among the executives. Very abnormal HR department; in everyone's business, coming up with different rules, for different employees on daily basis. They care less if you are happy or not, but my advice is to pretend to be happy as they don't welcome criticism. Place isn't open for ideas or creative minds, so think twice before you speak your mind. Doesn't matter if you talented or dedicated, it's all about who likes you."

Former Employee - Sales Consultant says

"Horrible place to work, people bullied from Management, HR inexistent, very difficult to sell products, terrible customers! Company doesn't care about you, you are just someone to exploit. Lots of favouritism and injustice! If you are hard worker they basically make you work more than your colleagues, doing always late shifts and closures, always a problem to ask holidays because there is no staff to cover you. I had no life, no hobbies, no time for holidays. The worst Company ever! Don't go there, find somewhere else!"

However the company (UAE Trading) is run by very very respectful family & very professional, listening to the staff complaints & needs.Big brands are under the umbrella of this companyUnprofessional area manager"

Venditrice (Former Employee) says

Venditrice (Former Employee) says

"Ho sempre lavorato per grandi aziende nella speranza di trovare oltre a una posizione lavorativa anche la garanzia di professionalità e preparazione non sempre adeguati alla fama delle stesse società. Miranda Gaylor says

"Appalling customer service and feel i am being fobbed off and ignored after spending a considerable amount of money . No reply to two messages sent, reference a return I made recently . Even more concerning now after reading others similar complaints and will never be purchasing from them again . Happy to take your money in my opinion but not to refund according to customer rights and consumer law . All rather worrying ."

Sneakier says

"Horrendous customer service. They hang up on you and lie. I declined an order due to wanting to change sizes. I have been waiting 3 weeks for a refund. I keep being fobbed off. Secondly, I regret going back to the brand it is now substandard and low quality. I know that from items I purchased elsewhere. Its a brand that needs to be resigned to the history books."

Lynn Caroline O' Riordan says

"I am shocked & appalled over the lack of customer service at Versace Online - I purchased a pair of earrings which were delivered to an incorrect address & its been almost six weeks & no one has replied to my six complaint emails or returned any of my phone-calls! I honestly would expect this service from H&M, but not Versace - clearly a low end company with terrible staff after all, working on 'manana, manana' time. I swear I will never buy anything from such a godforsaken drip of a company again!"

Haf Katib says

"I bought a pair of sliders that only lasted less then 6m before breaking. I have tried calling customer care for the last month and either no one picks up and on hold for over an hour or get cut off. I have emailed twice and nothing no reply."

KAREN says

"Versace Robe - I bought this for an extremely careful owner. He was devastated when it ripped very badly underneath one arm after less than 16 months. Aside from the tear, this garment is immaculate. I sent photos to Versace customer care but they told me that it was 'wear and tear' and not covered by the two year warranty. I'm still trying, but they are rude and dismissive, and the quality of this garment is severely substandard if it can tear so very badly when treated so carefully. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Bad, Bad, Bad. Don't buy this item."

Anhad Baweja says

"I paid $650 for a pair of meander loafers and versace sent me a pathetic sneakers. Height of carelessness by such a big brand name, this cannot be considered as a luxury choice. Such a big blunder by Versace, never trying them again"

Alayaya says

"Terrible customer care. I ordered the Large Icon bag, was sent the Small one. I tried contacting customer care, the lines are always down. Wrote an email and received a generic one offering return options. I asked yet again how we would go about me receiving the item I had ordered in the first place, only to be told that the item I ordered only comes in one size. There are two CLEARLY LABELLED "Large" and "Small" Icon bags on the website with different dimensions. Absolutely ridiculous, I'm just trying to get the item I ordered, nothing else."

Lynne Derbyshire says

"such bad customer service, waited a month for a reply. they required photos of the clothing that was torn, sent it in, heard nothing, sent in a complaint to be told exactly the same . I am trying to escalate this complaint,"

Pierre G says

"The quality is extremely poor ... For me thats not even a luxury brand , i bought a turtle neck pull 2 years and half ago, i followed every instruction about washing, now i can't even wear this pull ! he became tight like a clothes for 12 years old boy , i can't sell this too ... thats unwearable ! It's unacceptable , thats the quality and durability of a 20 euros turtle neck pull ! Being a luxury brand is not only about name or logo , quality should be the main topic."

Liya Nazary says

"If i can give 0 stars i would. Outfits are poor quality. Sunglasses break very easily. Everything in this store is very rusty and inside their store it’s so nasty the champagne they offer had lipstick stain on the glass 🤢"

Greta says

"The was the biggest waste of money in my life. Low quality, impolite service and they also support terrorists. Shame"

AC says

"I ordered a silk scarf as a birthday present, this was to be shipped internationally by DHL. As there was a spelling mistake with the name, the recipient couldn’t pay the import duty and collect the item. I contacted Versace by email and by phone to have the name amended and was told they would email me when they had confirmation from DHL of the amendment, which was a simple process and happens regularly (apparently). I telephoned every day for a week and was lied to daily by Versace’s Customer (we don’t) Care team, telling me that they were waiting for DHL. DHL were contacted by the recipient of the gift and said they hadn’t had anything from Versace and when I spoke to Versace they couldn’t get their story straight on when DHL had been contacted. Eventually the birthday came and went and after over 40 phone calls over the space of a week (because you get cut off) I have given up and asked for a refund from Versace, which I’m certain will turn into another farce. Utter incompetence from what is supposedly a global company, which in fact behaves like a backstreet rag trade con artist. If lying was an Olympic sport, Versace would win gold every time. Don’t waste your time and stress on this dishonest company."

Signija says

"I purchased a pair of Versace sunglasses in a store in Rome. After leaving the store it came to my attention that the pair from their storage room was SO crooked it covered only on eyebrow - it looked ridiculous. The staff apologized and exchanged the pair, so I cannot complain for the service. However, after only a few times usage, the glasses lost 2 of 6 metal "versace" decorations glued to the frame. As the purchase was made on a vacation, obviously I was not able to return them in the store, so I made online application which lead to another application..and another application documented with pictures etc. Then I had only a limited time rage to print the necessary documentation and contact delivery company. Due to a business trip I was not able to send the glasses within the deadline, so the WHOLE process must be started from the beginning now. I do not intend to use any minute of my life to follow this bureaucratic process all over again. Great strategy to avoid refunds of damaged products. This is for sure the last time I am buying anything from versace."

Daniella Laras says

"will never even say this brands name after the way I was treated at their Melbourne store"

Ma. Amparo Iglesias says

"I am very disappointed and this is my very first time to experience poor customer service. I ordered online through the Versace website for a girl bathing suit last 07/31 for her upcoming pool party this 08/09. I got an email confirmation saying it has been shipped Saturday with the tracking number 515071570565265 that I will be expecting my package from OH on Sunday at the end of the day around after 8pm. My order did not arrive, I thought to myself probably it was a mistake as I did not order it for an express shipment so then I keep on waiting for this week. Then suddenly the update on FEDEX tracking number is pending for delivery date and shipping label has been created by VERSACE. I communicated with FedEx saying Versace never sent the package yet. I reached out to 1888-721-7219 for help. I spoke to a representative yesterday 08/07 saying she could not see on the system what is going on however will contact the warehouse support for follow up. I waited for so long and told me she could not reach anybody at the support department, yet she wanted to confirm my cell phone number so then someone will give me a call for the feedback. This morning, I called again as I didn’t receive any feedback from the customer support, the customer service representative saying she can see on her system that the parcel hasn’t been sent out to begin with but will contact warehouse support again for follow up. I answered her that it was the same thing that the rep told me yesterday, she said the agent I spoke with initially doesn’t have the system that can see that the parcel hasn’t been sent out. She even said she saw that the prior agent did her part sending an email to the warehouse support and it will take about 24 to 48hours for a response. This really hurt my ears as this has not been disclosed to me yesterday and she added “It’s good you called again today” so what does this mean. I need to chase them for my order. After a couple of hours, I got a missed call from the 1888 number. I called them back right away but of course I need to be patient to wait for so long for someone to answer the phone. This time the representative said my parcel was lost and will issue a refund. I advised her that it was offered to me earlier this morning and I want my order item instead of a refund. I was irate, and the customer service could not get the idea of getting a false hope and expecting my order item so bad to give it as a gift. I asked her to put herself on my shoe, but she told me “life is not perfect” wow what a statement. Of course, I need to deal with her for so long as none of the Managers were available. I asked for her name “Renee” and asked for the Managers and she said they are not allowed to give names. She told me Managers will not guarantee to get back to me at the end of the day because they were instructed that whenever they send email to the management team it will take about 24 to 48 hours for a response. And again, this answer to me was so generic. I am terribly upset dealing with all the poor customer service, my item was lost and was given wrong information on several occasions. Managers were not available. Until now no resolution was provided to me as there were no Managers available to talk to me."

Bind Starks says

"I have never met such snotty and not professional staff in my life I tbink they should have training how to help non celebrities"

Jenna Reviews says

"Very disappointed with my Tribute belt. I was lured in by the brand name, hoping the quality would match. The boxing was slightly ripped when it arrived and it felt like a $20 belt from cotton on."
